The QOS system does far more than simply identify traffic based on port/protocol.  It actively watches traffic as it passes through the router and identifies traffic behaviours such as streaming traffic, high connection counts and udp packet size.  By watching these and other behaviours, we can better identify traffic that needs to be prioritized below more interactive traffic such as web browsing, email and voip traffic.

The options below offer either the Base system or a per-interface option.  Both work as described above, but with one difference.  The base system does prioritization without regard to the interface on which traffic arrives or departs the router.  The per-interface option allows you to specify available bandwidth on each interface, so that the prioriization scheme can be applied on each interface.  This is useful at a tower site where you have multiple APs with various capacities, such as a 900MHz Canopy on one interface and a Ubiqiti Rocket 5 on another.  With the purchase of the per-interface option, you will get BOTH scripts. 

The scripts are delivered by email with instructions for installation.  If you have not received your scripts after 24 hours from your purchase, please be aware that the delivery of these scripts are a manual process.  To check on the status of your order, please call us. 

**PLEASE NOTE**
This system does not work well when it is running on the same router as simple queues or the MT hotspot.  We will include instructions to work around this problem by using MetaRouter, but it can be quite confusing.  While the installation of the QOS script itself is VERY easy, creating the MetaRouter is difficult to understand.  Your purchase does include 30 minutes of support to explain the installation or assist with the creation of the MetaRouter.  Alternatively, you can simply install the QOS system on another bridged system behind the hotspot or simple queues.
